“Once Mike fixes CCC 3.1.2 , can CCC clone a bootable system to an external USB drive which has been properly partitioned and formatted (GTP, HFS+)? In other words, if I clone the internal drive using CCC 3.1.3 to an external USB drive, is this drive bootable?”

“There is a ‘glitch’ in CCC v3.1.2. Just before cloning, select the target in Finder, Get Info, disclose “Ownership & Permissions” and ensure that if there is an “Ignore ownership on this volume” checkbox it is UNchecked. Is that what you were referring to by “Once Mike fixes CCC 3.1.2”?”
